MY EXPERIENCE

I am an attorney and Founder of the law firm A. Perez & Associates, PLLC where my practice focuses upon tax law in both US domestic and international settings. I speak Spanish and English fluently, and am board certified in tax law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

As a former Partner of large firms in Texas I have handled a wide range of Tax and Business law matters for multinational companies and high net worth families.

I previously worked as a Managing Partner where I was responsible for managing and growing a large law firm with offices in multiple jurisdictions.

I have also worked "in-house" for a publicly traded medical device company in Europe as the AGC for EMEA & APAC where I was responsible for directing all legal and FCPA compliance matters in Europe, Asia and Latin America and was part of the executive leadership team of a $500 million international business.

On a personal note, I enjoy barbecuing with friends, I am an avid skier and enjoy playing soccer (futbo!), yoga and kiteboarding.

I started the first 4 years of my career as a trial lawyer with a large civil and products liability defense firm where I was fortunate to try 22 first chair trials to verdict, many second chair trials, hundreds of depositions, mediations, arbitrations and hearings.

I am a frequent speaker on a variety of tax and business law topics in both Spanish and English and an adjunct professor on several subjects including US tax, business law and FCPA issues.
